Subset group members are "locked in" based on AND/OR logic and various criteria. For example, highly active responders, first responders who are potentially over-positive, or speeders. This group type is perfect for differential sampling.

Specify a Subset Audience
In this section, you can specify a percentage or a headcount of the total defined audience from the conditions you set above. If you want to test different versions of an ad among a subset of the target audience, and the audience is 1,000 respondents, you can split them evenly into five "buckets" of 20% each to ensure a balanced test. Alternatively, if certain ad versions need more responses, you can use counts (300 for ad version A, 200 for B, and so on).
Identify up to 10 subsets within your target audience based on a percentage of the total audience count. The percentages can be less than 100%, but must not exceed it.
- After defining a Subset Group, you can specify your subset in the Specify Subset Audience section at the bottom of the screen.
- Calculate the audience size by clicking on the Calculate button.
- Create up to 10 audience subsets. In the first subset, specify the Subset Label and either a percentage or count of the total audience. This choice will apply to every other subset as well.
- Add new subsets by clicking on the + Add Subset button below the first label.
Once you have defined all your segments, click the Finalize Subset Group button to the right of this section. Each segment will then be created as its own locked Subset group.
